Throughout a lifetime of competition in amateur sports, Dru has always sought out massage therapy as part of his training programs. Knowing the benefits of regular treatments, he became a Registered Massage Therapist after attending the two-year program at Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic.
With a thorough education in anatomy, assessment, sports massage, and remedial exercises, Dru stresses to his clients the importance of being actively involved in their own healthcare. Through continuing education and his role as a mentor to graduating massage therapy students, he continues to acquire a deeper knowledge of techniques, assessment and treatment planning to better meet the needs of his clients.
Becoming a personal trainer, he’s been able to observe his clients’ preform exercises in a gym environment with a greater variety of equipment. He incorporates his background in martial arts, weightlifting, cardio, and stability training into training sessions. Always looking to stay up to date with training, he is currently reading Ultimate Back Fitness and Performance by Stuart McGill PhD
As a professional with over six years of experience, he has worked in various settings including his own private practice. He is also a year-round tennis hacker, a nouveau french language student and a sporadic knitter.
